Menu update: Breakfast will remain the same as previously posted. Prek lunch will be ham and cheese sliders, potato wedges, and peaches. Elementary lunch choices will be ham and cheese sliders or chicken sandwich. Sides are potato wedges, peaches, vegetable bar.
On-site learning will start again tomorrow. We will not have early dismissal on Wednesday, as originally scheduled at the beginning of the school year. We will have early dismissal on Friday.
Due to back roads and some main roads still being covered with snow & ice, Parkers Chapel School will remain completely virtual Monday, February 22nd. We hope to be able to return to on-site instruction on Tuesday. The menu will be Manager’s Choice the first day back and after that, we will use last week’s menu for each corresponding day.
Parkers Chapel School will continue with 100% virtual instruction for the remainder of this week. Continue to submit attendance and work online through google classroom daily. School is scheduled to resume on-site next Monday.
Each elementary classroom teacher has an attendance form in google classroom for today. The attendance & classwork has to be SUBMITTED and must also be MARKED AS DONE. Submission of work is just one step. Please complete both steps after doing the work. Again, contact your child’s teacher through email, or their preferred method of communication, if you have questions. Work and attendance must be submitted daily before 10 PM.
Parkers Chapel School will move to virtual instruction on Tuesday (2/16) and Wednesday (2/17). Students will need to access Google Classroom or watch for messages from their teachers concerning assignments & classroom instruction. Announcements concerning possible addition weather days will be posted on the website and school Facebook pages.

School will dismiss early tomorrow. There will be no school on Friday (2/12) or Monday (2/15). Weather permitting, school will resume on Tuesday (2/16).
Thursday 2/11/2021: All Prek students will be dismissed at noon (12:00 PM). Elementary car riders will load at 12:35 and buses will leave at 1:30. Parent - Teacher conferences have been scheduled for students with below average or failing grades. These conferences will be held from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Conferences will be limited to 10 minutes and a follow up meeting may be scheduled if needed.
No School - There will be no school on Friday, 2/12 and no school on Monday, 2/15. School will resume on Tuesday, 2/16.
Early Dismissal & PT Conferences - Thursday 2/11; All prek students must be picked up at 12:00 PM (noon), elementary car riders will be picked up from 12:35-1:05 PM, and busses will run at 1:30 PM. PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES will begin at 2 PM. Teachers will make face to face scheduled conference appointments with parent(s) of students that are working below grade level (D) and with parent(s) of students that have a failing grade (F). Additional conferences may be held virtually or by phone or email.
ACT Aspire Interim testing will be Wednesday, 2/10, and Thursday, 2/11, from 8 AM - 11 AM for 3rd through 6th grade students. Virtual students (not on quarantine) will be required to attend and test. Quarantined students will be required to test upon their return to school. (1) Please do not make appointments for your child on these days. (2) If students wear glasses, please make sure they have them on testing days. (3) Please make sure students are well rested & have a good breakfast. Thank you for your help with making our testing days successful.
Valentine’s Day deliveries will only be accepted on Wednesday, Feb. 10 (for students & employees). We have state testing & early dismissal on Thursday & no school on Friday. The 10th is the only day we will be able to ensure that deliveries get to the intended person. Thank you for understanding.
Campfire Candy - please remember that Campfire Candy is NOT to be sold at ballgames. It is also not to be sold during the school day on campus to students.

This is a reminder that archery practice is in the MAC tonight. 4th & 5th at 5:00 PM, 6th - 8th at 6:00 PM, and 9th - 12th at 7:00 PM. Enter through the auditorium lobby or the MAC back door. Parents drop students off. Practice is 50 minutes.
