This is a reminder that normal “face to face” school will resume tomorrow. If your child was quarantined and you are unsure about the date he/she may return, please contact your child’s teacher. If your child tested positive, he/she will have to have a clearance return letter from the AR Dept. of Health. If you need assistance with this, reach out to Nurse Kaci at burtonk@parkerschapelschool.com. If your child has come in contact with a positive person or has tested positive over the holiday break, please contact Nurse Kaci as soon as possible. Please remember to send water bottles, clean backpacks, and jackets with names written inside.
Beginning tomorrow - PC Schools will move to a virtual setting for the remainder of this week. All plans are for on-site school to resume on Monday, Nov. 30th. If this date changes, it will be posted on the school's website and a push notification will be sent out through the school app. Teachers will continue to post virtual lessons for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If elementary students do not have access to a device to watch the recorded lessons, the teacher will provide an opportunity to get caught up the week of Nov. 30th. Work is also being sent home with all students to complete and return on the 30th. If a student is currently out due to illness or quarantine, these papers will be given to the student on the 30th to complete. Again, most students will come home with this work today. Progress reports are also being sent home today. Any student that develops symptoms should be tested and self quarantine until they receive the results of their test. If a student is tested, it must be reported to Nurse Kaci by email at burtonk@parkerschapelschool.com or by calling 870-310-3321.
There will be no archery practice tomorrow night. Information about archery will be sent out this week. Competition teams are 4th & 5th grades (Elem), 6th-8th (Jr. High), and 9th-12th (Sr.High).

Parkers Chapel School District
Friday, November 13, 2020
Dear Parents, Students, and Faculty:
Recently the Parkers Chapel School District notified the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) of positive cases of COVID-19 in the Parkers Chapel School District. The district followed the ADH protocols to identify probable close contacts. Those who have met the criteria have been contacted.
The district has taken active measures to deep clean and disinfect the facilities appropriately. Parkers Chapel School District will continue to work with the ADH and follow all guidelines and protocols as directed. We appreciate the cooperation of our parents, students, and staff during these difficult times.
For the privacy of our students and staff, the Parkers Chapel School District cannot share personal information regarding this case. The school district remains steadfast in our commitment to the safety of our students, staff, and community.
Again, if you have not been contacted you are not considered a probable case of close contact. Continue to monitor your child for symptoms and let Mrs. Burton, the school nurse, know of any suspected issues. Make sure you are familiar with our protocols for testing and possible close contact. Please monitor our district website and social media pages for updates as they become available.
Go Trojans,
Michael J. White
Superintendent
Remember to send clean masks & a clean water bottle each day. Students without these items will be required to call parents & have the items brought to school. Thank you for remembering to send these items daily. (A minimum of three (3) masks should be in backpacks.)
Menu Changes for this week:
Tuesday: Pre-K Lunch = Ham and Cheese Sliders; Lunch K-12= Ham and Cheese Sliders or Hamburgers. Wednesday: Pre-K Lunch= Chicken Nuggets; K-12 Lunch= Chili Dog or Cheeseburger. Thursday Pre-K Lunch = Chicken and Waffles; K-12 Lunch= Chicken and Waffles or Chicken Sandwich.
Menu change for today: Prek will have popcorn chicken today instead of chicken and waffles. K-12 will have orange chicken today instead of chicken and waffles. The 2nd option of hamburger for K-12 will stay the same today. On Thursday, Prek - 12th will have chicken and waffles with a 2nd option for K-12 of chicken sandwich. We apologize for the inconvenience, a delivery was delayed causing the change.
Please wash masks & water bottles. All students must have a water bottle from home to refill each day. All students must have a mask with at least two or three extra masks to use if something happens to the one they use at the beginning of the day.
Parents will be called to bring masks or water bottles if students do not have these two things each day.
Mr. White’s letter will not attach to the text messaging system used by the school. However, the letter, concerning Covid, can be found on the live feed on our school website and it can also be accessed by using the school app.
The attached letter is a message from our superintendent, Mr. White.

This is a reminder that we will have early dismissal tomorrow. Elementary Car Riders will load at 12:35; Bus Riders will load at 1:30; PreK students may be picked up at 12:00 (noon) or 2:30-3:00. If you are picking up a prek student and want to pick up your elementary child at noon, send a note so we know to release them at that time.
Please remember to wash masks, put extra masks in backpacks, wash water bottles, send water bottles & masks every day.
From the School Nurse: Attention: The Flu Mist is not available tomorrow for the flu clinic. If you marked MIST on your child’s flu sheet, you must call the nurse and update the form to injection or they will not be vaccinated, as the mist is UNAVAILABLE. Call 862-4641 ext 114. Leave a call back number if your call rolls to the answering machine; or email burtonk@parkerschapelschool.com before 2 PM today. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Clarification: some quarantined students will be returning before the 27th (flu clinic day). Those are the forms that can be emailed or dropped off. If the quarantined student is coming back after the 27th, they will not be able to participate in the school’s flu clinic this year.
Students that are currently quarantined may scan the flu forms and email them as attachments to burtonk@parkerschapelschool.com - as long as they are received tomorrow. You can use the “notes” app on iPhones to take a picture of the forms and then send as an email attachment using the upload icon. Send the originals when students return from quarantine please.
You can also drop them off at the elementary office front door if that is easier. There will be a folder on the door where you can place the forms.
This is a reminder that tomorrow is the deadline to turn in paperwork for the school’s flu clinic.
Parents that will be attending face to face conferences must be on the teacher’s schedule and will need to enter the elementary building through the double doors - just past the elementary office (next to the cafeteria). Screening will take place there.
There is currently NO phone service or internet at the school. AT&T is working to repair the issue. Remember we will dismiss today at 12:00 -12:30 for early prek pickup, 12:35-1:05 for elem car line, & buses will run at 1:30. Late prek pickup will be normal time.
