Kindergarten and the Paid PC Preschool registration will look a little different this year. Next Tuesday (March 16th) parents of students entering kindergarten next year will be able to pull up in front of our school and pick up a kindergarten packet from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. This packet will have papers that need to be completed. We will need copies of birth certificates, social security cards, and shot records. You will have until the new school year to obtain your child's physical from a doctor. The packets must be dropped off on Thursday, March 18th , from 5:30-7:30 PM. Parents that wish to enroll their child in the Paid PC Preschool Program will also be able to pick up a packet at the same time. These will also be due back on Thursday, March 18, from 5:30-7:30 PM. The cost for the paid program next year will be $120 weekly. Packets may also be picked up at any time at the elementary office between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Please spread the word.

Parkers Chapel School will begin raising money for a community service project beginning tomorrow. Students will be able to donate as many times as possible to their homeroom. 100% of this money will be donated to the following charities: (1) #teamcorrie and (2) Delek workers hospitalized following the recent fire / explosion at the local plant. Mr. Hoover and the school chose to donate 50% of the money raised to #teamcorrie in memory of Mrs. Corrie Gross Bechtelheimer. She was our speech teacher and dear friend until she passed away on June 6, 2014 after her courageous battle with cancer. The other 50% will be a community based project donation and will be given to the burn victims to assist with their families' needs as they recover. Any amount you can give will be truly appreciated. The class that raises the most money will win a park lunch field trip. The top ten donating students will get to take a swipe with the clippers and shave Mr. Hoover's head next Thursday afternoon on the playground. (please place money or checks in an envelope with your child's name on the outside; make checks out to PC Activity). Thank you in advance for helping us - help our community. Due to overwhelming support of our pageant this year, we sold out of our allotted tickets for the morning pageant division which is approved by the Department of Health. Our Junior/Senior Prom is April 10th, at the El Dorado Conference Center. Tickets are $10 each and are available for purchase in the high school office.

Congratulations to the Elementary (grades 4 and 5) and the High School (grades 9 through 12) Archery Teams. These two teams qualified for the State Archery Tournament. The Middle School Team (grades 6 through 8) missed qualifying by only a few points.

SOFTBALL MEETING UPDATE: The Parkers Chapel Summer Softball League has moved their meeting to the ELITE NUTRITION building located at 2660 Haynesville Hwy. The meeting will be Friday, Feb. 26th, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Forms will be available at the meeting. Forms may be completed in your car once you arrive. If this is your child's first year to play for the league, you will need a copy of their birth certificate to attach to the form. Board members will be inside the building and will be available to answer any questions you may have. If you have immediate questions, would like to download the form and print it from home, or can't make the meeting, you may contact Amanda Brown through email. amandaswilleybrown@gmail.com Fees per family: one child = $75, two children = $100, three or more children = $120. The ages for this league are 5 years to 14 years of age.

Early Dismissal Reminder: School will dismiss early this Friday. ABC Preschool pickup time is 12:00-12:30, PC Preschool pickup time is 12:00-12:30 or 2:30-3:00. Elementary Car line will load from 12:35-1:00. Buses will run at 1:30.

The Parkers Chapel Softball League has rescheduled their meeting. It will be held Friday, Feb. 26th, at 6:00 p.m. The current location for the scheduled meeting is the school cafeteria.

Wednesday, Feb. 24, is the last day to turn in Pageant Registration Forms, Photos, and Fees to the office. This is a HARD deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.

Menu update: Breakfast will remain the same as previously posted. Prek lunch will be ham and cheese sliders, potato wedges, and peaches. Elementary lunch choices will be ham and cheese sliders or chicken sandwich. Sides are potato wedges, peaches, vegetable bar.

On-site learning will start again tomorrow. We will not have early dismissal on Wednesday, as originally scheduled at the beginning of the school year. We will have early dismissal on Friday.
