
MENU CHANGE: There will be a change in the lunch menu for Tuesday, August 24th, and Friday, August 27th. The lunches on these two dates will be flipped. Tomorrow’s lunch will be: Pizza Bagel Bites or Cheese Burger, French Fries, Canned & Fresh Fruit, & Fresh Salad Bar. Friday’s lunch will be: Meatballs & Gravy w/ Roll or Corn Dog, Mashed Potatoes, Canned & Fresh Fruit, & Fresh Salad Bar. There will be a “Pop-Up” vaccine clinic at the school this evening from 5:30-7:15 p.m. The location will be in the main hallway in front of the elementary library (beside the auditorium lobby doors). The Pfizer vaccine will be administered to anyone in the community 12 years old or older that wants the vaccine. This will be free of charge. A consent form must be completed on site and contact information will be obtained. We will again open the school in the evening for the follow up dose at a later date. Please let anyone in the community know about this clinic that wants to get the Pfizer vaccine.

The 2021-2022 school year will have an earlier release time than we have had in the past several years. The following times will be used when releasing students: Kindergarten through 3rd grade will begin loading cars at 2:15 p.m. 4th through 6th grade will begin loading at 2:25 p.m. The preschool parents will not be able to enter the back parking lot until all elementary students have been picked up. The preschool will have two pick up times. Early PreK pickup will be 12:15 - 12:30 (if your child has an afternoon appointment) and regular Prek pick up will be from 2:55 - 3:15. The buses will load at 2:46 for both Elementary and High School students. All high school (Sr. High) athletes will be expected to report to their designated areas / coaches immediately following the 2:46 dismissal time from 7th period. The elementary will have aftercare available again this year. Make sure to complete an aftercare form at Open House if this is something you will need for your child. The school day will BEGIN (class starts) at 7:45 for Elementary and 7:48 for the High School.

Mrs. Rhonda’s bus will be late picking students up this morning. She will be 15-20 minutes behind her normal schedule. Mrs. Rhonda will verify tardies so they may be excused and breakfast will be served to those arriving by bus late.

There will be a football parent meeting tomorrow, 4/22,
at 6pm in the Auditorium for kids in grades 6th-11th who will be playing football next year.

The Parkers Chapel School Board voted tonight that effective immediately, masks will be encouraged but not required. We will continue to follow all other recommended guidelines. Social distancing of 3 feet in classrooms when possible will stay in effect. In the event that there is a positive case, we will follow quarantine recommendations (the positive person and those in close proximity will be quarantined unless both had masks on). The cleaning regimen of the campus will stay a top priority. It is extremely important that if a student has any symptoms, the student must stay at home & the school nurse must be contacted.

Seniors attending prom on April 10th MUST go by the library to see Mrs. Burns and sign up for an Arrival Time by 3:30 pm on Wednesday. Juniors will begin Arrival Time sign-ups on Thursday.

Thursday, April 1st is the last day for Juniors and Seniors who plan to bring a prom date who does not attend Parkers Chapel to turn in their Outside Guest Approval forms to Mr. Smith for approval. They MUST turn this form in and get approval from Mr. Smith BEFORE they may bring a date who does not attend our school to prom.
Monday, April 5th, is the last day Juniors and Seniors may buy a ticket(s) to attend our Diamonds and Gold Prom on Saturday, April 10th. Tickets are $10 per person.

Community Fund Raiser - Tomorrow (Wednesday 3/17) is the last day to make a donation to the 50/50 community fund raiser. High School students may turn in money at the office or during the lunch period. Elementary students need to turn their money in to their teachers. Please send any amount you can to help out. Even $1 or $5 will make a difference in someone's life. Donations will be split between the #teamcorrie cancer foundation and the men injured in the Delek fire/explosion. Checks need to be made payable to PC Activity. "I wonder who will get to shave Mr. Hoover's head?"

The LAST day to get pageant tickets for Saturday is this FRIDAY!!! We will NOT be selling tickets at the door on that day!!! Morning tickets are already sold out, but there may be some available for purchase for the afternoon and evening sessions.

Those who will be unable to attend will be able to watch the pageant on LiveStream.

Juniors and Seniors who plan to bring a date who does not attend our school MUST get a Guest Approval Form from the office. They MUST complete that form and turn it in to Mr. Smith no later April 1st. Mr. Smith MUST approve your date from outside our district BEFORE they may attend our prom.

2021 Junior High and High School Pageant Tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, March 2nd. We only have 100 tickets available for that evening for attendance. Tickets are $5 each. Get yours in the high school office.

Congratulations to the Elementary (grades 4 and 5) and the High School (grades 9 through 12) Archery Teams. These two teams qualified for the State Archery Tournament. The Middle School Team (grades 6 through 8) missed qualifying by only a few points.
