PC STEM ADE Visit

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) came for a Site Visit and Evaluation of our STEM Gateway program.  During this visit, students were able to showcase their medical skills from their Medical Detectives course and show off their coding skills from Automation and Robotics.  The school received Exemplary Markings from the visit.

Parkers Chapel was encouraged to begin the process for becoming a STEM Model School within the state, as well as to host STEM Gateway Sessions for other schools. Melissa Stringfellow, Parkers Chapel's 7th and 8th grade STEM Teacher was able to witness her students demonstrate skills they have learned in her classes this year.  Mrs. Stringfellow stated, "Watching my students show the ADE what they learned from my classes was one of the most humbling things I have witnessed as a teacher, and I was so proud of them."
