This weekend 6 of our high school band members participated in the Region III All-Region Band Clinic. Abigail Birminghmam, Callen Sampson, and Ellery Palculict were placed in the Concert Band that was directed by Dr. Sarah Labovitz, who is currently serving as the chairman of the music department at Arkansas State University. The Concert band performed several challenging selections including Arabian Dances by Roland Barrett.
Madison Arnold, Connor Burns, and Evan Golden were selected to play in the region's Symphonic Band which was directed by Mr. John R. Graham who is currently the Director of Bands at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. This band Played many challenging pieces including, Fanfare for a New Generation by Dennis O. Eveland and Liberty Bell March by John Phillip Sousa.
Madison, Connor, Evan, and Ellery will compete at the state level of competition on February 4th.
