We will have a PINK OUT peprally in the parking lot in front of the high school from 2:10 - 2:40 today. High School students will need to be picked up from the side doors of the student parking lot. Please do not park in the parking lot in front of the high school today. PC will play Hampton in PC tonight. Senior night ceremonies will be before the game starting at 6:30, and Mini Clinic will perform at halftime. GO BIG BLUE!!

There will be a “Pop-Up” vaccine clinic at the school this evening from 5:30-7:15 p.m. The location will be in the main hallway in front of the elementary library (beside the auditorium lobby doors). The Pfizer vaccine will be administered to anyone in the community 12 years old or older that wants the vaccine. This will be free of charge. A consent form must be completed on site and contact information will be obtained. We will again open the school in the evening for the follow up dose at a later date. Please let anyone in the community know about this clinic that wants to get the Pfizer vaccine.

The 2021-2022 school year will have an earlier release time than we have had in the past several years. The following times will be used when releasing students: Kindergarten through 3rd grade will begin loading cars at 2:15 p.m. 4th through 6th grade will begin loading at 2:25 p.m. The preschool parents will not be able to enter the back parking lot until all elementary students have been picked up. The preschool will have two pick up times. Early PreK pickup will be 12:15 - 12:30 (if your child has an afternoon appointment) and regular Prek pick up will be from 2:55 - 3:15. The buses will load at 2:46 for both Elementary and High School students. All high school (Sr. High) athletes will be expected to report to their designated areas / coaches immediately following the 2:46 dismissal time from 7th period. The elementary will have aftercare available again this year. Make sure to complete an aftercare form at Open House if this is something you will need for your child. The school day will BEGIN (class starts) at 7:45 for Elementary and 7:48 for the High School.

The Parkers Chapel School Board voted tonight that effective immediately, masks will be encouraged but not required. We will continue to follow all other recommended guidelines. Social distancing of 3 feet in classrooms when possible will stay in effect. In the event that there is a positive case, we will follow quarantine recommendations (the positive person and those in close proximity will be quarantined unless both had masks on). The cleaning regimen of the campus will stay a top priority. It is extremely important that if a student has any symptoms, the student must stay at home & the school nurse must be contacted.

Congratulations to the Elementary (grades 4 and 5) and the High School (grades 9 through 12) Archery Teams. These two teams qualified for the State Archery Tournament. The Middle School Team (grades 6 through 8) missed qualifying by only a few points.

This is a reminder that archery practice is in the MAC tonight. 4th & 5th at 5:00 PM, 6th - 8th at 6:00 PM, and 9th - 12th at 7:00 PM. Enter through the auditorium lobby or the MAC back door. Parents drop students off. Practice is 50 minutes.

Parkers Chapel School District will transition to virtual learning for the remainder of the week, December 16-18. Check our website for more information.

Archery practice is cancelled for this evening on campus. If you have signed up to participate, you will need to do private practices at least once per week on your own until we can start on site in January. There will be a sign in book at Slingin Arrows. Please have 3 practices completed on your own before January 4th. I am sorry for the inconvenience of requiring off-site practice at this fine, but that is our only option until January. Thank you for your cooperation and participation.

There will be no archery practice tomorrow night. Information about archery will be sent out this week. Competition teams are 4th & 5th grades (Elem), 6th-8th (Jr. High), and 9th-12th (Sr.High).
