Due to an increased number of positive Covid-19 tests and a large portion of our 8th grade student body being quarantined, the Parkers Chapel School District will be moving to all virtual instruction for only our 8th grade students as of Friday, January 22nd, and will return on Monday, February 1st. We feel that it is best for our community and school district to cancel on campus instruction to decrease contact and prevent any possible spread. All facilities will be deep cleaned during the break.
Instruction will continue during this time, and all students will be expected to log on to their google classrooms for all assignments. Teachers will record lessons, respond to emails, and post assignments for the remainder of the week. Please respect their office hours of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
If your child will need lunch during this time, please contact the high school office by 9:00 am each morning. Lunches will be available for pick up from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Please call this number: 870-862-2360 ext.110
Any student that develops symptoms or tests positive for Covid-19 during this time must report this information to Nurse Kaci Burton by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 870-310-3321.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but again we feel it is necessary for the safety of our students, staff, and community to suspend face to face instruction at this time. We will continue to provide the Parkers Chapel standard of instruction and appreciate your support and patience.
