Announcement from Parkers Chapel School District Regarding
With the recent concern of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Parkers Chapel Schools is aware of the concern of our community and employees. We place the safety and well-being of our students as a top priority. PCSD is closely monitoring COVID-19 advisories and warnings from the Arkansas Department of Health and the Arkansas Department of Education. PCSD will remain open at this time. We are formulating plans and will communicate any changes as soon as possible.
Spring Break starts in a few weeks and often means a lot of traveling for our students, school families, and employees. There have been guidelines released for those returning from travel to China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan or any other Level 2 or 3 country as Identified by the CDC, to self quarantine for a period of 14 days before returning to school. This applies to all students, teachers, and other school staff.
There are things you can do to stay health and avoid spreading the disease:
o Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
o Stay home when you are sick.
o Cover your cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
o Wash hands often with soap and water (20 seconds).
o If you don’t have soap, use hand sanitizer (60–95% alcohol based).
o Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Thank you for helping keep our students and staff safe by staying informed, practicing good hand hygiene,and staying home and keeping home if they are experiencing symptoms.
