Testing

During the school year there are many assessments the students are either required to take or are offered the opportunity to take.

ACT ASVAB (juniors) EOC (science/Biology)
ExploreTest (8th grade)
PlanTest (10th grade)
PSAT (9th-11th grade) NCSC SAT

ACT/SAT - These are both college entry exams. In order to be admitted to a college or university, the students must take one (or both) of these exams.

ASVAB - The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is an interest inventory to help the students successfully prepare for a career path that best suits them.

EOC/Benchmark - This is the science benchmark exam that students are required to take in the Spring semester to assess what they have learned in that area.

Explore Test - This is a pre-ACT test given to 8th grade students. It will give the students an opportunity to see what the ACT will be like. It can also give the student an estimated ACT score.

PSAT - This is a pre-SAT exam. It is also the exam that could qualify your child for National Merit Finalist or National Merit Semi-finalist.

NAEP - National Assessment of Educational Progress is an essential measurement of achievement in the United States. Here are some links for more information:
